This time we did not stay more than one night, but we have been to Milan before and it is a wonderful city to wander around. The Duomo, Victor Emmanuel arcade, La Scala and much, much more. Shopping, eating and culture, Milan has it all. One really needs to spend a week in Milan, although it can be expensive.

Not much to see, much more of a trip to enjoy shopping.
Not much to see, much more of a trip to enjoy shopping.
It's easy to get around, as it has a 3 day public transport pass for very cheap and it cover a big part of Milan. I was stressing on G maps looking for restaurants, but I had the best bites while walking around and finding a place that piqued my interest!!

Milan just like too many other Italian cities - big or small - seems more and more besieged by overtourism. More than ever the milanese expression "fa bala' l'oec" (make your eye dance) should be kept in mind by potential visitors: both to avoid meschievious behaviours and to grasp as much as possible of the amazing cultural offer away from the beaten tracks.

Milan is huge, use the Metro just tap your credit card on the barrier, no need to get a ticket too complicated. Loads of great food on offer & wines. If shopping is your bag then get the cards ready!!! If your looking to have a great short break Milan is worth it. PS, if you get a hire car make sure you fill it up, we were running late due to accidents so had to take the car back, it just needed topping up but we were charged 164 euros for 29 euros of fuel & we were flying back from a different airport.

Milan is a big city and a visit to the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio and surrounds is good, with a night too, however I wouldn't spend 2 days there as there is a lot more to see in Italy and this is a great hub to fly in and out of to reach both North and South Italy.

Milan is a beautiful city, specially the Duomo - beautiful church. We spent 4 nights and 3 days in Milan. First day we visited the Last Supper at the Cenacolo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuel and then a tour of the Doumo - Milan Cathedral- which was amazing. The Galleria is literally next door to the Cathedral. Be aware of 250 steps to get to the top of the Cathedral. There is an elevator up to the 2nd floor and you climb the rest of the way up. Second day we went on a Tour of Lake Como, Bellagio and Lugano. It was a bit rushed to see all these places. Lake Como/Bellagio was breathtaking. The tour started around 8am and finished at around 6pm. The Third day was a relaxing day and free day around the City.

The location near China Town was fantastic. Acsess to public transport was second to none. So easy to get to Milan centre , San Siro Stadium and central station by tram or Metro then to the Airport by Bus for only €12 per person. The bus is direct and takes around 40mins. A taxi from the Hotel would cost €120. I would definitely stay or recommend the Leonardo Milan City Centre to anyone.
Wonderful loft room with 3 beds, kitchen & walk in wardrobe. Huge windows with Juliet balconies. Extremely comfy beds, cleanliness top notch. Away from city centre but convenient for direct tram line (number 2) stop is 5 mins walk from hotel. Excellent value for Milan. Easy check in. 100% would stay again. Was only there for 1 night but could comfortably stay a week.
Hotel and room was spacious and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful ,lots of choice for breakfast, also very unusual in Italy a lovely coffee machine and kettle in room , soft towels ,good shower. Perfect position for walking to the centre of Milan or taking the trams and metro so much to see and do in Milan , don’t miss the Navigli area 👌🏾
The aparthotel is located in a safe residencial area with easy and quick access to Milano Centrale and to the city centre. The apartment was well equipped. There is a large supermarket (Esselunga) nearby, 4 minutes walk. The aparthotel is also very close to a metro station.
Good value hotel for solotravel right next to milan central station, can explore city centre easily by metro.
It's clean, friendly staff with good WiFi and balcony.
